Januaury Favourites

Everyone seems to be broke in January, including me. Therefore instead of buying new products I shopped my own stash and rediscovered some products I have not used in a while...
I may have told a little white lie, I did buy one beauty product in January. I purchased La Roche-Posay Toleriane Fluide (link to blog post). It is a beautiful light weight moisturiser, which gives my oily skin just the perfect amount of moister.

My beloved Giorgio Armani Ecstasy lipstick has been on my lips almost everyday since I received it for Christmas. I have it in the colour 100, which is a perfect creamy nude colour for my complexion. I love how it feels like a lip balm on the lips, but has the lasting power of a lipstick. Another reason I love this lipstick is because of its luxury red packaging (you can tell I'm a sucker for pretty packaging). Everyone needs one of these lipsticks in their collection! For a full review and pictures you can check out my full review of it here.

Recently I have really been getting into applying lip liner. I think I must have been living under a rock as it has took me this long to discover how much of a difference lip liner makes. It makes my lips look so much bigger and fuller, which I have been a fan of on other people for so long. My mum gave me this Clinique lip liner ages ago, so unfortunately you cannot buy it anymore. However, any nude lip liner which is darker than your lip colour will work. I am particularly interested in purchasing the Paul and Joe dual lip liner in shade 02.

My next favourite product was something I rediscovered in my makeup collection. It is the Soleil Tan De Chanel Luminous Bronzing Powder, which I use as a highlighter. It is really beautiful and very natural looking on the skin. I love it because it is not glittery in the slightest, it just gives a lovely glow. When I use it I swirl a brush around all of the different shades and apply it on top of my cheek bones, and down the centre of my nose. Now for the bad news, unfortunately I could not find it online, but I am pretty sure I have seen it at some Chanel counters.

To make me happier on these dismal days I have been enjoying more of a glowing make up look. To help achieve this I have been using my Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat. Mine is in the lightest colour, 01. I use it under my eyes, on top of my cheek bones, and in the inner corners of my eyes, to brighten up my face. In my opinion this is the best radiance boosting pen. If you want to know more about it, check out my full review here.

I have used Benefits Magic Ink liquid eyeliner every single day throughout January. In fact I wear it almost everyday in general, not just in January. It is my favourite eyeliner of all time. It lasts sooo long. I received it as a gift last Christmas, and it has only just ran out. (It really is magic). It is really easy to apply and it lasts all day long, without having to reapply it throughout the day. It also looks as if it has been freshly applied even at the end of the day. If you are looking for a fab eyeliner, this one is definitely worth a look at.

My most used blusher in January was Nars Deep Throat. It is a beautiful light pink with a hint of shimmer running through it, which makes you look very fresh. It is such a pretty colour which I think would suit a large amount of skin tones and would suit a whole load of makeup looks. Definitely one to put on the wish list.

Yours Faithfully,
